Please. Help.
The girl I’m dating and I both think that we sleep on the left side of the bed. I’m coming to terms with the fact that she may be a psychopath and I don’t know what’s real anymore.
Which option has the sides of the bed correctly labelled?
#1
#2
Neither #1 nor #2 but a secret third thing
OP’s vote is: Option #2.
I was going to keep my own vote secret, but at this point it’s not going to skew the results to reveal it and a lot of folks have requested it. Needless to say, I am shaken and heartbroken at how this is going. While she who shall not be named is evilly gleeful.
A car clearly has a left and a right side as defined by option #2 (has to, since different countries put drivers’ seats on left or right to reflect which side of the road they drive on) because its primary purpose is to be inside it and therefore left and right are defined from the perspective of someone in the bed.
Similarly, a bed’s primary purpose is to have someone in or on it. Therefore, option #2 by the same principle applies. Who the hell is viewing the bed’s primary function as something to be viewed from outside of it?!
(And no, it doesn’t matter whether you’re a back/front/side sleeper - and I’m a side sleeper - when you’re reading/scrolling through Tumblr/etc. in bed, you’re still doing it on your back.)
For those who are wondering: yes, I do work in healthcare and I do fit the correlation between healthcare people and option #2… but I had this opinion since I was a young child, when I clearly wasn’t practising medicine.
